The Chilliwack Garden Club has encouraged gardening in our community since 1946. We host monthly meetings that include a guest speaker, a grow and show table where members bring in flowers, plants or floral arrangements, draws, and of course socializing over refreshments!
We also organize garden tours and host an annual Plant Sale. Beginner or experienced gardeners are welcome!
March 13th Meeting - 7pm
Our speaker this month will be Jack Oostenbrink of Fruits and Shoots Plant Farm, a boutique nursery in East Chilliwack. The focus of this presentation will be on home grown crops from plums, pears and apples to currants, blackberries and grapes, with information on how to design and plan an edible garden, and ways in which you can incorporate edibles into your existing landscapes. There will be a pruning and training demonstration for starting your own espalier or cordon tree. See the nursery website for more information: https://fruitsandshoots.com/
Guests are welcome. No charge for the first time, $5 drop-in fee for subsequent meetings. Join now and your membership will be good for all of 2024! The annual fee is $25 per person / $30 per family.
